Rosemarie Ottomanelli joined The Bentley Group, Ltd., in 2014 as Senior Director -Investments, specializing in acquisitions, development and construction. Ms. Ottomanelli has over 30 years of real estate investment experience with institutional, family offices and other investors. She has been involved with numerous transactions of residential and commercial real estate asset classes with a focus on multifamily, office and retail situated in the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Clients receive Rosemarie’s attentive care and artful understanding as she helps them determine the best strategy whether it is a buy, sell or hold situation. She is noted for being "insightful, direct, honest and resourceful" and does not waste your time.
In addition to the Bentley Group, Ltd., Ms. Ottomanelli is the principal of AVID LLC, established in 2001. AVID (Analysis Valuation Investment Development) provides due diligence and real estate advisory services to lending institutions, appraisers, investors and other stakeholders.
Early career includes Finance Operations Officer with The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan where Rosemarie managed a $1.1 billion Commercial and Industrial securitized portfolio. She has underwritten over $1.3 billion of commercial real estate and over $150 million in restructurings and or workouts. Previously Rosemarie was a senior appraiser with the Real Estate Advisory Group providing valuation services. As a Finance Officer with the NYS Housing Finance Agency she worked with real estate developers from idea inception to funding and or bond issuance of congregate-care facilities, multifamily properties and senior housing. Ms. Ottomanelli was the lead researcher and author of a housing policy for the State of New York.
Rosemarie was the panel moderator for "Profiting from the High-Net-Worth Investor Perspective on Real Estate Opportunities" sponsored by the Institute for International Real Estate and a speaker at other real estate investment events.
Ms. Ottomanelli is a past Vice President of The International Real Estate Federation ("FIABCI") – New York Council and a past Secretary of the American Business Women’s Association – NYC.
From 1999 to 2006 Rosemarie was an Adjunct Assistant Professor with NYU, Schack Institute of Real Estate and in 2007 with Cornell University, Graduate Program in Real Estate. She is a contributor to Brueggeman and Fisher’s Real Estate Finance and Investment, 12th edition, McGraw-Hill.
Ms. Ottomanelli holds a MS in Real Estate (concentrations: Development & Investment and Valuation & Analysis) from NYU, MA in Sociology (concentration: Research) from ASU, and BA in Sociology (minor: Statistics) from Wagner College.
